In our practice, we use the latest 3D tomosynthesis system from Siemens to image the breast. Instead of the usual single image, a series of 1 mm slice images of the breast is acquired.
The advantage of this method is that cancer detection increases by 20-30% while the number of false-positive findings is reduced.
Because of its high diagnostic value, an additional ultrasound examination is not needed in many cases.
By using Transpara, a highly innovative artificial intelligence, we provide additional support to our two radiologists (specialists in radiology) when they read and report the images. This allows mammography images to be interpreted even more precisely and makes even the smallest carcinomas much easier to detect.

If neither mammography nor an ultrasound examination can clearly clarify the findings, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is the best choice. It can identify malignant tumors non-invasively (without taking a tissue sample).
If you have any symptoms, please see your general practitioner or gynecologist right away! If necessary, you will receive a referral for mammography.
From the age of 40, you should have regular early detection screening, at least every 2 years.
The Austrian Ministry of Health’s Breast Cancer Early Detection Program (BKFP) is aimed at healthy women.
Your e-card is automatically activated for mammography every 2 years.

Please bring your e-card and an X-ray referral as well as, if available, prior images for comparison. On request, you can be examined by female staff only. Please let us know when you register.
As a service to our patients, you will receive your report right away if everything is normal. If there are even the slightest abnormalities, we perform a double reading to allow an even more accurate diagnosis.
Our mammography has been awarded the "Quality Certificate for Breast Diagnostics" by the ÖRG (Austrian Radiological Society) and BURA (Federal Radiology Section of the Ärztekammer, the Austrian Medical Chamber).
We are one of the few radiology centers in Austria that examine more than 8,500 mammography patients per year. Accordingly, we have extensive expertise and have already diagnosed numerous early-stage breast cancers smaller than 1 cm, which meant that the women affected could expect to be cured.
In addition, we can offer MR mammography if further clarification is necessary!
