Privacy Policy

The protection of your personal data is of particular importance to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (the Austrian Data Protection Act DSG 2018, the GDPR, and the Austrian Telecommunications Act TKG 2003). In this privacy information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in connection with our website.

Please read this statement carefully, as it explains how we collect, process, and store your personal data. Every access to our website and every retrieval of a file stored on it is logged. This storage serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. The following is logged: name of the retrieved file, date, time of retrieval, amount of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, web browser, requesting domain, IP address of the requesting computer, search terms, (…)*. We process and store all personal data that you send us in the context of email inquiries (e.g., name, address, email address, phone number, etc.) in order to carry out the contact you have requested and to maintain customer relationships. This data is stored by us until you submit a written request for its deletion.

Further personal data is only collected if you provide information voluntarily, in the context of an inquiry or registration, to conclude a contract, or via your browser settings. If we pass on data to external service providers, appropriate technical and organizational measures are taken to ensure that the transfer complies with the statutory data protection provisions.

1. Contacting Us

1.1. When you contact us by email, the details you provide are stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in case follow-up questions arise.

1.2. We do not pass on this data without your consent unless this is necessary to fulfill a contract or to carry out pre-contractual measures, as without this data we cannot conclude the contract with you. This also applies in particular to job applications sent to our email addresses.

2. Access Data/Server Log Files

2.1. The provider (or its web hosting provider) collects data on access to the website (so-called server log files). The access data includes: name of the website accessed, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited website), IP address, and the requesting provider.

2.2. The provider uses the log data only for statistical evaluations for the purpose of operating, securing, and optimizing the website. However, the provider reserves the right to review the log data retrospectively if specific indications give rise to a reasonable suspicion of unlawful use.

3. Handling of Personal Data

3.1. We automatically collect and store in server log files information that your browser transmits to us. This is: browser type/version, operating system used, referrer URL (the previously visited page), host name of the accessing computer (IP address), time of the server request. This data cannot be attributed to specific persons by the provider. This data is not merged with other data sources, and it is used only for statistical evaluations.

3.2. Personal data is collected, used, and disclosed by the provider only if this is permitted by law or if users consent to the data collection.

4. Cookies

Please note that when you visit our website, we use cookies for advertising and communication purposes, to process sign-ups (or registrations) and inquiries, and to prevent spam (see also www.allaboutcookies.org/ge/). Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device by your browser. We use cookies to make our website user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

4.1. If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you when cookies are set and you allow them only in individual cases. Deactivating cookies may limit the functionality of our website.

4.2. Session cookie (local): This is a technical cookie that stores the user’s actions within a website. It is deleted when you leave the website.

4.3. How cookies can be deactivated, deleted, or blocked: The website you are visiting allows you to check/uncheck individual cookies using the options illustrated below; please note, however, that if cookies are deactivated, full use of the website can no longer be guaranteed.

5. Web Analytics

5.1. Our website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc. (“Google”) in the USA, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043. For this purpose, cookies are used that enable an analysis of how the website is used by its users. The information generated in this way is transferred to the provider’s server and stored there. You can find more information on how user data is handled by Google Analytics in Google’s privacy policy at the following link: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de

5.2. You can prevent this by setting up your browser so that no cookies are stored. The information generated by cookies about your use of this website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server and stored there. Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website and to compile reports on website activity. We use this information exclusively for the purposes of our own market research and to optimize the design of the website.

5.3. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where third parties process this data on Google’s behalf. Under no circumstances will Google associate your IP address with other data. You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the settings of your browser software accordingly. In this case, you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent. By using this website, you consent to the processing of the data collected about you by Google in the manner described above and for the purpose stated above.

5.4. If you do not want your anonymized data to be used for website analysis, you can find a deactivation tool here: GA-OptOut.

5.5. Your data is processed here on the basis of our legitimate interest or that of a third party for the purposes of the website and the improvement of our services. The relationship with the web analytics provider is based on an adequacy decision of the European Commission (in the case of the USA: “Privacy Shield”).

5.6. Data processing is furthermore based on the statutory provisions of § 96 (3) TKG and Art 6 (1) (f) (legitimate interest) of the GDPR. Our concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is to improve our services and our website.

6. IP Anonymization

We use the “Activate IP anonymization” function. As a result, your IP address is first truncated by Google within member states of the EU or in other contracting states of the EEA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide the website operator with further services related to website use and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

7. Your Rights

In principle, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, withdrawal of consent, and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates applicable data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed in any way, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority at any time. In Austria, this is the Datenschutzbehörde (Austrian Data Protection Authority):
