Through our whistleblower system, you can report potential or actual violations of legal regulations that fall within the scope of the HinweisgeberInnenschutzgesetz (HSchG – Austrian Whistleblower Protection Act).

Which violations can be reported through the whistleblower system?

Through our whistleblower system, you can report potential or actual violations of legal regulations with reference to the Austrian Whistleblower Protection Act (HSchG).

Whistleblowers are protected when they report possible or actual violations of the law in the following areas:

• Corruption and bribery
• Data protection and information security (protection of privacy and personal data, and security of network and information systems)
• Other serious violations, in particular concerning

• Public health
• Public procurement
• Money laundering and terrorist financing
• Product safety and compliance
• Transport safety
• Environmental protection
• Radiation protection and nuclear safety
• Food and feed safety, animal health and animal welfare
• Consumer protection
• Violations of EU competition law, EU state aid law, and EU corporate tax provisions

Please note that reports that do not fall within the scope of the HSchG may be forwarded to the internal departments responsible for them.

When am I protected as a whistleblower?

You are protected as a whistleblower if, at the time of your report, based on the actual circumstances and the information available to you, you have reasonable grounds to believe that the information you report is true and falls within the subject areas listed above.

Under the Whistleblower Protection Act, protection is granted to persons who have obtained information about violations of the law through their current or former professional connection with the company (e.g., employees and staff, job applicants and trainees, members of an administrative, management, or supervisory body, suppliers), as well as to persons who assist with the report and persons close to the whistleblower who could likewise be affected by retaliation.

Please note that submitting obviously false reports may result in claims for damages or prosecution by the authorities.
