Computed Tomography

Your doctor has referred you for a computed tomography (CT) examination.

In computed tomography, cross-sectional images of the examined region are created using X-rays. The examination is completely painless for you and takes only a few minutes.

For some examinations, it is necessary to determine the blood flow in the examined region. This is done by injecting an iodine-containing contrast agent into a vein.

With every examination, you will also receive a free DVD on which your entire computed tomography examination is digitally stored. You can view this examination on any Windows PC; the viewing software, also included free of charge on the DVD, starts automatically when you insert the DVD into the PC drive.
