Curriculum Vitae

• Received his medical doctorate (Doctor of General Medicine) from the University of Vienna in 1988.
• After completing his rotating internship (Turnus) at Donauspital SMZ-Ost and Wilhelminenspital, he specialized in radiology at the University Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH).
• In 1999, Dr. Friedrich Vorbeck successfully completed his specialist training and, from January 2000, worked as an attending physician (Oberarzt) at the University Department of Diagnostic Radiology at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH).
• He has published interdisciplinary work in numerous medical journals, given numerous international lectures and poster presentations, and received international awards for this work.
• In 2001, he moved to the Institute of Diagnostic Radiology at Sozialmedizinisches Zentrum Baumgartner Höhe, Otto Wagner Spital, headed by Prim. Prof. Dr. Mostbeck, as a specialist and later as senior hospital physician (Spitalsoberarzt). Further career steps took him, as an attending physician (Oberarzt), to the radiology institute of Doz. Frühwald / Doz. Steiner / Oa. Dr. Obermayer and to the radiology institute of Diagnosezentrum Urania.
• In 2005, he joined Diagnosezentrum Donaustadt as an attending physician (Oberarzt).
• Since 2006, Dr. Vorbeck has been a partner and deputy medical director of Diagnosezentrum Donaustadt.
• Since 2011, Dr. Vorbeck has been a specialist board examiner for musculoskeletal diagnostic radiology.
• Since 2012, Dr. Vorbeck has been chair of the radiology specialist group of the Ärztekammer Wien (Vienna Medical Chamber).
• In his free time, his family comes first, followed by travel and sports.
